Hey, I’m glad you’re here — I’m Viktorija Jokantaite-Kutke, the CEO of the Weight Management Accelerator at Kilo Health. One thing about me is that I don’t do boredom. I am always moving, always building. Try to keep up!
My career has been a journey of change — switching industries, taking risks, and pushing myself to grow. I started in advertising, loved the fast pace, but eventually wanted something new. Banking gave me structure, but I missed flexibility. In digital growth, I led big projects, increased revenue, and built lasting initiatives.
At some point, I realized I was being headhunted again and again. That’s how I joined Kilo Health when it was still small but full of potential. I took a leap into health tech, launched successful products, and built strong teams. After a break to reset, I explored new opportunities but ultimately returned to Kilo Health for the chance to take on big challenges and keep evolving.
Through it all, I’ve learned that careers aren’t a straight path. Growth comes from recognizing opportunities, knowing when to change direction, and taking risks at the right time.
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve always been headhunted throughout my career. Yet, I’ve never done any kind of self-promotion — I don’t write on LinkedIn, I don’t post on Facebook, and I don’t actively market myself.
But let me tell you a secret: I believe that when you stay true to your values, regardless of the company you work for, and remain yourself despite challenges or external pressures, people take notice. Standing your ground when the environment tries to shape you differently leaves a lasting impression. People remember authenticity.
Our market is small, and, as I like to say, everything spreads through people simply talking to one another. My advice is that when leaving a company, you should ask yourself: How do I want to be remembered? Did I give my best? Was I honest with myself and others? Did I stay true to my values? Am I proud of the journey I had there?
If you can answer these questions with honesty, you’re on the right path.
I’ve had a long career, but I’ve never experienced burnout. I believe it’s important to distinguish between true burnout and simply lacking a challenge. In a fast-paced startup, you might feel drained, but if a stable job starts feeling stagnant, that’s not burnout — it’s just time for a change.
For me, it was about not believing in the company’s new direction. I knew when to step back — like at Kilo Health, when the team was strong and things could run without me. Sometimes, a company also needs fresh leadership to grow.
Of course, there are stressful days, but the work, the team, and the purpose have to drive you forward. When they didn’t for me, I moved on — and that’s okay. I’ve always believed in working hard and resting just as hard, which has probably saved me from burnout. You can’t keep pushing forever. We’re human.
I’ve brought digital health products back to life, even when they were past their peak. But what if a product is tied to a trend that’s faded? How do you find the right message, tap into a new trend, and make it relevant again?
Let me lend you an example: With Keto Cycle, we introduced the No Carbs Challenge as an alternative to just a keto diet. We identified strong selling points because we know the struggles of weight management. If someone lacks motivation, even the most advanced app won’t help. Success depends on willpower and mindset.
That’s why marketing is key as well as positioning, communication, and solving real pain points.
Also, real value isn’t about quantity but quality and usability. The challenge is adding value without overcomplicating things.
A good product alone won’t guarantee success. In weight management, timing, positioning, and differentiation matter the most. Competitors constantly adjust their strategies, chasing what works.
The biggest challenge? People want an effortless fix — the “magic pill” is at its peak. But now, there’s growing awareness of its downsides.
That’s where creativity comes in. How do you reach an audience looking for real, lasting change? The ones who want more than quick fixes? Keep these questions in mind.
And with that, we’ve covered enough for now. Thank you for meeting me at the end and if you feel like we clicked, be sure to check out our careers page!
